Patrick Nielsen
I am an environmental planner student focused on integrating sustainability, climate resilience, and environmental justice into urban development. My work combines GIS, environmental research, and policy evaluation to better understand how cities interact with natural systems.
I am pursuing a dual Masters in Urban and Regional Planning and Urban Design, and dual certifications in Climate and Environmental Justice and GIS. My course work will use GIS analysis and environmental research to better understand the relationship between land use, air quality, and community health. I aim to contribute to planning solutions that improve environmental outcomes for cities and neighborhoods.
